The Power of Triumphant Faith

In the beginning, when Adam and Eve ate the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Satan told them they will become wise after eating it. They will also be able to distinguish between good and evil. In the same line, Solomon prayed to God to give him a wise and understanding heart that he might be able to discern good from evil (1Kings 3:9). This means some things might look good but it’s evil and some things might look bad but it’s good. You might want to make a decision and it looks good but the end of the matter is real evil. If you just choose what you want, you might be choosing evil while it looks good to you. Then you start praying for God to help you speed up the process in getting it. The question now is; are you asking God to do evil, when He can see clearly its evil? Do not force your will on God. Whenever you are faced with any situation whether good or bad, first go to God in prayers about it then meditate on the scriptures for direction. Do not choose what you think is right without first asking God for His word concerning it. The bible says, “I set before you life and death, choose life” (Deu 30:19). Also it says, “attend to my words, incline your ears to my sayings, let them not depart for they are life unto those that find them” (Prov 4:20-23). Thus, ask God to open your eyes to see the scriptures that will minister life to you.

The word of God is very important in the life of every believer. It helps you to know the mind of God concerning a matter. Getting the word is the first step. You also need to meditate on the word because God works through covenant and His covenant can only be found in the scriptures. The bible says, Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (James 4:3). When you look at the word thoroughly, through meditation, there is something that God imparts within the life of a man. When you follow the direction God has given to you, it automatically leads you to the blessing that is found in that situation.

Furthermore, for every blessing that God brings to a man, know that there is a clause to it. This means that when I bless you this way, there is something you should do with this blessing and there is something you must not do. So when He blesses you, He does it based on a promise in order to keep the covenant in the blessing. So when you continue to look or meditate on the blessing in the scripture, you will see the purpose of the blessing in it as well.

After receiving the blessing the next step is the manifestation of the blessing. You must know that manifestations are fulfilled by the anointing. It is the spirit of God inside us that fulfills the word of God in our lives. The bible says, “not by power or might but by the spirit of God” (Zechariah 4:6). For some people, after God shows them the word and what He intends to do in their life; rather than rely totally on God for the manifestation they try to use the arm of flesh to make it happen. For instance, when God showed Abraham that He wanted to give him a child, he chose to listen to the ill advice of his wife to meet Hagar and through that, he produced a child outside the will of the Spirit. Galatians 4 says ‘having begun in the spirit, don’t try to make yourself perfect in the flesh’. So you can actually start in the spirit and get it right, get the word of God for the situation and after all that, you still want to use the force of your human will to produce it. Paul said, “we have renounced hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully” (2Corth 4:2). This means you can have Gods word and preach it but handle it deceitfully. Therefore, when you commit certain things to God allow Him to take totally control because that is the only way you can get the full potential of the blessing when it manifests.

Therefore, in getting solution to any problem or issue you need to get a word from God. The minute you find yourself in a difficult situation and you believe God for a breakthrough concerning it; what you need to do next is to shut the door, pray, read and meditate on the word. Listen to messages, read books that speak about such issues and continue to meditate until the scriptures is made real to you – that is the will of God.
