The Power of Triumphant Faith

The children of Israel had to sanctify themselves in order for God to move on their behalf. Sanctification simply means separation, to separate oneself for the manifestation of God. In your heart you have to separate yourself from things if you are going to have the manifestation of God in your life. Studying the book of the law means you are going to be a stranger and a pilgrim on the earth when you are separated. (Hebrews 11:13) When you are separated unto a project, it means you are totally focused on it and you do not even know what is going on around you or in the country at large. When the light inside you is locked on something and it is single (Matthew 6:22), the illumination of that particular thing will be communicated to you and you will know exactly how you will get to your destination and the steps to take. During this time you must spend more time preparing your heart for what God is about to do. Position yourself in your consciousness for the manifestation that is about to happen in your life. Your words have got to be right, so keep repeating the Word to yourself, keep meditating and keep all these things to yourself.

Now God gave the children of Israel one sole commandment which would bring about the manifestation of God’s presence and power into their lives. God told Joshua he would have to approach that particular situation by getting to the brim of the Jordan and make sure the priests bearing the Ark put their feet into the water of the Jordan. (Joshua 3:8) The next step for them was to make sure they stood still within the Jordan. To come to the brim of the Jordan according to the Scriptures means to commit oneself to a project. It is one thing to desire to cross the Jordan, it is another to step inside it. In other words once you come to the brim of the Jordan in any project, the project has begun. You have made contact with the project and will start feeling its peculiarities. The Scriptures says that on the day you make physical contact with the Jordan, make sure you are carrying the Ark, and also make sure you stand still when you are in it. (Joshua 3:8-16)

In Exodus 14:1-end we read about how the Israelites came out of Egypt and were pursued by the Egyptians. We need to understand that the Israelites had already made a commitment and there was no going back on it. According to the Scriptures, the first thing they did when they saw the Egyptians was to cry unto God. This cry was not a covenant cry, nor was it an act of faith. Many people cry out to God in their time of need and God does not show up. They expect God to show up simply because they cried out. There are principles to be followed; take a step and move into the Red Sea, take the Ark, step into the Jordan and stand still etc. Most times it is not about crying out to the Lord in the time of trouble but knowing and obeying the instructions He has given you for that period.

What God was trying to show the Israelites was that certain situations arise to show the awesomeness of His power and for them to know that the living God was among them.

Many people have great destinies and can see it in their hearts, but the issue is that they do not know what to do in order to fulfil it. Some step out, but when the pressure begins, they start crying out in order to be taken back to their past. Like the Israelites at the Red Sea that cried out in fear, considering themselves better off in Egypt as slaves rather than having the vision of the Promised Land fulfilled.
