The Power of Triumphant Faith

These all died in faith not having received the promises but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned (Heb 11vs13:15).
The reason a lot of people do not “see” with their hearts is because they see too much with their eyes. That is why the scripture says your body most be “burnt” in order for you to become spiritual i.e. there should come a time in one’s life where your canal life must be destroyed in order for the spiritual part to come out. Therefore, before you empathise with the prophets in the above scripture because they did not experience the physical manifestation of the promises you must understand that they did enjoy the fulfilment of it within.
One of the reasons people do not see manifestation is because they think it’s only when something is seen to be happening on the outside i.e. the physical then it means things are working out. So the internal process that needs to be done within them, they try to circumvent.
The scripture above also refers to a pilgrim which can be likened to a sojourner that means one is not a permanent resident of a particular country.
This shows that the place is strange and that the individual is not in his comfort zone. As a result they will talk and behave as pilgrims or strangers in that particular place.
But when you believe God for something the situation is totally different. God does not expect us to behave as strangers to our desire, instead He expects us to talk and walk as though it as happened.
This is what the faith walk is all about. Furthermore, people who are seeking for a new country or a new experience do not get to have it by just talking about it.
When you listen to those that have had such experiences having imbibed the promises of God, they get to a point where they meditate on the word of God, talking about it as though they already have the physical manifestation and that shows how they are reaching towards God’s promises.
For you to get to where God wants you to be you must not be mindful of your past. This means that you must let your past be your past and then concentrate on the future that God is preparing for you.
People that are not mindful about the past are people whose minds are renewed towards the future. Any decision made spiritually can never have sentimental attachment to the past because God is all about the future.
If you are going to take any decision about your life make sure it is the future that you see with the eyes of faith that draws the decision and not a sentimental attachment to the past.
When you are making decisions understand that God is opening up something for you in the future and not what was in the past.
As you move towards the future that God prepares for you understand that you are alone with God in it and that you will experience a lot of reproach especially from people close to you who do not see the future you so speak about.
For this reason people that do not understand you will judge you because of it. Continue to offer the sacrifice of praise for the fulfillment of that promise unto God continuously which is the fruit of your lips.
During this period make sure you do good to people around you because with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Make sure there is no rebellion inside you by obeying people that have authority over you.
This is because God wants you to maintain the spirit of order and generosity and also to avoid getting hateful or angry at what is going on but rather understand the moment which is about you moving from one level to the next.
