The Power of Triumphant Faith

What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. (Romans 4:1-2).

In these scriptures Paul shared  on the things that he found out that Abraham had discovered. What Abraham discovered can be found in verses three to five i.e. for what saith the scripture? Abaraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt; here Paul begins to teach about Abraham’s discovery and in the following verses we find out that David discovered the very same thing, Even as David also described the blessedness of the man unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works ().Abraham’s discovery lies as the fundamental principle of the kingdom.

Abraham practiced this particular principle which Jesus Christ also spoke about as being how the kingdom of God really operates. Firstly it is as if a man would cast seed into the ground (Mark 4:26), this also explains about how God begins to work in and through the life of a particular individual. The first thing God does is to give the man the seed that he will sow (2 Corinthians 9:11). The Scriptures say,  the earth of itself shall bring forth and he knoweth not how (Mark 4:26-27), this shows that one will not be able to explain how all the circumstances were orchestrated to produce the harvest. One thing is sure that when the harvest comes, the result is usually massive and beyond the limits of the person’s ability or achievement.  This type of harvest comes without any human manipulation of events to satisfy the individuals involved.  The harvest will eventually come – you do not have to go out there looking for results, it will surely come to you. The real opportunity will come to you and all you have to do is to put out the sickle when the harvest comes.

From this principle that Abraham discovered we can determine the character of events that surround any opportunity.  We can study them to determine whether the opportunity is a product of the supernatural operation of the Holy Spirit or whether the enemy is just trying to lure us by presenting a counterfeit. So as we walk in integrity we must be watchful to ensure that it is the harvest on the seed of the kingdom.

For Joseph this harvest came without any manipulation of events surrounding the chief butler’s dream or Pharaoh’s dream and its need of interpretation. It simply came to him, thus showing that God presented the opportunity for him to enter into the harvest of what He had prepared.
