‘For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb 4:12)

You cannot legislate on purity because it comes from the heart. A lot of cleansing that is not necessary occurs on the outside; but the inward cleansing that should go on inside the heart of a man and purify the soul of a man is totally left untouched because it is not properly understood. Jesus said it is not what goes into a man’s mouth that actually defiles him; it’s what comes out of the mouth of a man that defiles him. This is because it goes into the spirit and heart of the man where it can change and produce certain acts or events or allow certain decisions to be made possible in the individual’s life. Even though you can change things on the outside you must understand that such changes cannot affect the hearts of people. For you to get to the hearts of people, you must understand the process that God has given us to reach it. He has given us a clue that it is only what comes out of the mouth of a man that can get into his heart because it’s what comes out of the mouth that enters into the heart’. And it goes further to tell us that it is the issues of life that comes out of the heart of men. 

Thus, anything that will get into the life of a man must get into his heart. So the first step is for it to get into his mouth in order for it to get into his heart. Once that happens, it automatically gets into his heart then afterwards into the life of that individual. This was the reason God instructed Joshua saying, ‘this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth’ so that it can get into his heart; when it gets into his heart, he must meditate upon it inside his heart day and night and that will bring about massive flashes of inspiration and he must observe to do according to all that is written therein. 

Regardless of what happens on the outside in terms of powerful meetings you might have attended or regardless of the miracles that happen on the outside or the experiences we go through which is of God that are good and helps the lives of people and brings blessings to them; we must understand that they are all outward manifestations that does little or nothing to the heart. For this reason we need to focus more on tangible things. Like fulfilling our God given destiny and entering into the fullness of what God has planned and purpose for us. This is a change and reformation that occurs on the inside that will enable us to arrive at a full stature of Christ reflecting the glory of God within our lives and living like Christ upon the earth as the bible has stipulated.
