Acts 2:1-4; Isaiah 59:20-21
One of the signs that intercession prayers have started to take root in an individual’s life is that the Holy Spirit comes upon such an individual and puts His words on his lips. Recall when the Apostles prayed collectively and made their supplication, the Spirit was poured out. What did they pray? They prayed that God will grant them utterance, so they
would be able to speak the word of God with boldness. In other words, it is possible for a person to quote the scripture without the utterance of God.
It takes prayer and breakthrough in prayer for you to have the utterance that will make that word work. As the Holy Ghost was poured on the Apostles, they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke the word with all boldness and signs and wonders started. If they had said the word before prayer, they may not have had the signs and wonders that were experienced. There is a concept of confession under ‘closed heaven’ and there is confession under ‘opened
heaven’. Essentially, you might be saying the same thing but the impact is different. Therefore, stay in the consciousness of the place of assured answers to prayers, so that you can reap the expected results of the labour you have put in.
