The Power of Triumphant Faith

Favour is a grace you must consciously ask God for. Many people are gifted, many are also without favour. Talent, skill and knowledge cannot substitute favour. They are good and can take us to certain places. However, the favour of the Almighty supersedes them all. God’s favour plus your skill, talent and hard work will take you to greater heights. The patriarchs in the Bible always prayed for favour in the eyes of God and men. They were conscious of it. They understood the covenant of favour and its effect in their lives. Mary became the channel through which Jesus accessed the world because she was highly favoured by God. Esther also was favoured by God and man. Once you are favoured by God, you will get the best assignment on the earth. On the other hand, if you are favoured by men, you will be given the best task.

Favour does not mean laziness or receiving blessings without working. It simply means you will be allowed to express your talents and gifts in a way that will bring about maximum benefit and satisfaction. Doors will be opened up to you in places that seem difficult. “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”(Prov 22vs29). Favour takes any hardworking person to greater heights. You may be talented or skilled yet you will need favour to reach the peak of whatever you do.
Scripture says, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”(Eccl 9vs11). Bread, riches and favour come from God directly. It is God who rewards our labour. Declare the favour of God in all you do relentlessly. When you are favoured, people will want to associate with you. And when you are favoured, people will not deal hard with you even when you make mistakes. Many people have been sacked from their jobs because they lack divine favour. Favour is a shield that protects every area of your life. It is like capital that allows you to move on even when mistakes have been made. It is a must have. Favour hands you the big assignment. It lends to you all you need in life. Favour ensures that people do not go out empty handed in a place where they have laboured. People get hurt when they are not duly rewarded. The hurt and bitterness exposes them to a lot of negative energy and influence.

Favour is not nepotism. It is just favour(read the book of Esther and Ruth). Whatever it is God has blessed you with is secured by His mercy and favour. Favour is referred to as grace in some parts of the Bible. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”(Heb 4:16). Every need in your life will be met when God’s favour is shown on you. After receiving favour, you must also work. This shows that you truly deserve to have what you got .i.e. you must execute the job in the best possible way. Favour brings good name. Put relationships above money. The more you get money, the more lasting relationships you should build. The wealthiest man is the one with powerful relationships.

The scripture says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.” (2Corth 9vs8-90). Finally, we must note that we also receive favour when we give. Grace in the above scripture means favour. When you give, ask God to reward you with favour in the eyes of men that you may abound in every good work. Then, you will experience abundance. Continually pray the favour of God over your life and you will fully enjoy the blessings of God.
