And in the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou curseth is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them(Mark 11:20,21,22,23,24).
More often than not, when teaching the principles of receiving and manifestation in Christianity, sometimes in very subtle ways some teachers tend to communicate the wrong message to people. This is because when people do not get results or when the manifestation in their lives do not match up with the word of God or the promises that God has made to them they tend to feel that God does not want to answer their prayers.
Usually in most teachings about receiving and manifestation, we tend to hear things like keys to answered prayers or why some prayers go unanswered or how to get prayers answered. What these teachings do to people at times is that it sends a message to people that implies if they are not getting results then the problem has to do with God who does not seem to respond to the prayers that they are offering up unto Him. This makes it seem like God is reluctant to answer certain prayers.
When you study scriptures properly and examine your life you will find out that the real problem has to do with getting the God’s response to your prayers. Jesus made it very clear in the bible when He said, “… it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom…” Concerning this issue of giving He also said, “… ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find knock and the door shall be opened”. He went a little further saying “… to any one that asks, shall receive, any one that seeks finds and to anyone that knocks the door shall be opened up…”(Luke 11:9,10). Now, If the same book tells you there is hell and heaven, and you believe it then we also have to believe the other things that is contained in the word of God absolutely. This is because if those words are not true it means every single promise or statement or fact that has being made in the bible is false. Thus, you have to know that Jesus meant what He said about asking and receiving and He always says what He means because the word of God is spirit and life.
Therefore, the main problem lies with the ability of an individual abiding with the laws of manifestation after their prayers have being answered by God. This means that the individual wants to see an immediate response to his request. But one thing you must understand is that God does not work that way. For instance when Daniel offered up prayer unto God, the angels came after twenty-one days and said that from the first day the prayer was offered a commandment or answer came forth. Now on the fifteenth day, if Daniel had gone for a seminar and he was waiting on getting that prayer answered and someone came to teach on why prayers are not answered, he could have gone back with the mindset that God’s response to his request has not being favourable.
When we pray about a particular need God answers immediately, but as men we usually look for an immediate physical manifestation instead of building our faith (if the need arises) to the point where our needs will then materialise physically. Jesus spoke to the fig tree in the scripture above and it withered away but this was instantly visible. In the following verse He tells us to have the God kind of faith and it is only this faith that will make us receive what we ask of Him. This is because faith is the substance of things we hoped for and anyone believing God for something most first have this substance on the inside.
