And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelled with you, and shall be in you. (John 14vs16-17)”
What the world can receive are the things that they know and can see. Once they can see it, they can go through the process of imagination just like it happened in the story of the tower of Babel in the scriptures. God called Abraham and spoke about the blessing which the whole of humanity can partake from. Though the world can only receive what they can see but Christ is telling us that the Blessing (Holy Spirit) can be received but not through sight. And this this what sets us apart from the World because through faith we have received all that Christ has freely given to us. Therefore, we know Him because He dwells on the inside of us and He’s the Comforter.
Abraham was alone without any support structures in his life when God called him out of his father’s house. God blessed him (the word “blessing” here is talking about the Spirit) and increased him. The Spirit of God can only move in the waste places, where an individual is all alone. Sometimes He is trying to strip people of things and people so that they can access their blessing. Just like Abraham, Isaiah was stripped of all he had and he went through a difficult situation as well. It took the famine experience for him to access and activate his blessing. Therefore, the blessing can only be activated in the places or areas within one’s life where there is dryness (need).
Jesus said, “Whosoever thirsts let him come unto me and drink”. God wants to go into those waste places in your life right now. He wants to go into those places where you are thirsty or where there is a need so that the Holy Spirit can come and comfort you in those areas. But make sure you are alone and do away with any support structure of any kind. That is make sure you rely totally on God and do not seek for external help from people you think can help you out. Make sure the whole issue is only between you and God. In case you tell anyone make sure it is purely with the intention that they might join you in prayer for the supply of the spirit, and not to interfere in the process of manifestation. You need this in order to get the blessing to operate within your life.
Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody(Is 51vs2-3). Allow God to meet you in your most lonely and weak state so that the Holy Spirit can bring you to a place where His blessing can be made manifest for all eyes to see.
