Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith’ (Habakkuk 2:4) The just shall live by his faith simply means that the faith of a just man will enable him create the different experiences he will have within his life. It is therefore, not by the faith of another but he must understand how to live by his own faith. Faith and its application are very important in the life of every believer. The bible says ‘without faith, it is impossible to please God. It also tells us in the scriptures that the elders obtained a good report by faith because they understood faith and lived by it every day. Faith is very important and it is the central message of the church today. There is no way you can make God happy without understanding faith and knowing how to apply it within your life. The bible also teaches that for you to walk in obedience you got to have faith. This is because to please God means to obey Him and without faith it is impossible to achieve both. Therefore, it is impossible for any believer to walk in obedience in any phase of their life without understanding faith and walking in it. That is why the bible says ‘the word that was preached did not profit them not being mixed with faith in them that heard it’ (Heb 4:2). The central message of the church is that God the father can be trusted to honour His word in the life of any individual with signs and wonders following it. But certain conditions must be fulfilled in the life of the individual that operates in faith. Once this conditions or terms are followed it will give God unhindered access into the life of the person. And this will allow God manifest all of who He is through that individual on the earth. These conditions are the steps of faith that Abraham took that allowed God manifest Himself in his life. We need to understand these conditions in order to get the total cooperation of God in our lives and be able to produce results. One of such conditions is our ability to study the word of God. Believers need to understand that if you sit down long enough with the word of God on any subject matter, soon His word by itself will start influencing you and take control over your environment. It will turn your environment into the very thing you are seeing inside the scriptures. Just like the bible says in John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. This scripture tells us that all things God made, He made by His word.
This means God doesn’t do anything without first of all sending His word and when this condition is fulfilled, God comes through that individual and manifests Himself in his life. This is the message of faith that brought the tools to every believer on how you can pull yourself and rise up in life without any supporting structures on the outside. When Jesus came and announced this message, He spoke to the fig tree and it withered away. His disciples came the next day and said ‘master, this fig tree you cursed has withered from its roots, how did it happen?’ Jesus could have said many things that would have sounded very right or classified that experience from the whole of humanity, instead Jesus said, “whosoever (young, old, white, black, tall, short, male, female, any tribe, educated, literate, illiterate, rich, poor, anybody) shall say to this mountain ‘be thou removed and cast into the sea’ and fulfills this condition of not doubting in their heart, he shall have whatsoever” (Mark 11vs12-25). Here is the blank cheque-whosoever can have whatsoever and this is the second condition. Once you understand and practice these two principles it shows you have profound understanding of how faith works and you will soon begin to see manifestation in your life.
